Join Us at EGU 2026: Beyond Blue Carbon – Interdisciplinary insights into coastal ecosystem dynamics

C-BLUES is thrilled to invite you to our session “Beyond Blue Carbon: Interdisciplinary insights into coastal ecosystem dynamics” at the upcoming EGU General Assembly 2026, taking place 3–8 May in Vienna and online.

This session (BG 4.1) will explore the complex dynamics of blue carbon ecosystems—salt marshes, mangroves, seagrasses, tidal forests, and mudflats—and how they respond to global change. We aim to foster dialogue across disciplines to better understand carbon cycling, ecosystem resilience, and the socio-ecological dimensions of coastal management.

🧠 Who Should Submit? Biogeochemists, ecologists, geographers, geologists, social scientists, biologists, and environmental managers—anyone working to advance knowledge or practice in blue carbon systems.

📅 Key Deadlines:

  • 1 December 2025: Travel grant deadline for early career scientists

  • 15 January 2026: Abstract submission deadline
