The C-BLUES project invites you to contribute to a vital international survey developed by our partner IOC in collaboration with other partners. Your insights will help inform a scientific summary for policymakers, guiding conservation and restoration efforts in the European Union and the People's Republic of China.

What’s the survey about?

We're gathering expert input on:

📊 Historical data on distribution, carbon stocks, sequestration rates, and emissions in blue carbon ecosystems (mangroves, tidal marshes, seagrass meadows, and macroalgae) across the EU, China, and globally.

🏛️ National and regional policies affecting these ecosystems, including their implementation and effectiveness.

💰 Financial resources needed and already available for blue carbon protection in the EU and China.

Researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and anyone working with blue carbon ecosystems. The survey is designed so you can focus on the areas, ecosystems, and countries most relevant to your expertise.
